
Singing for Musical Theater: Character Development Through Voice, Stage Precense & Vocal Choices
This is a lively workshop designed to help performers connect their singing to their storytelling. Participants will explore how vocal technique, stage presence, and character choices come together to create a compelling performance. Through guided exercises, singers will learn to express emotion, build confidence onstage, and bring characters to life through song. Open to a wide range of experience levels.
Andre Wilkins
Andre Wilkins is the vibrant Performing Arts Director at Salida High School, where since around 2012 he has invigorated the arts curriculum through his leadership of Concert Band, Jazz Band, Concert Choir, Theatre, Beginning Guitar, Music Theory, and the History of Rock ’n’ Roll . Known for his dynamic direction of student performances, his recent accomplishments include producing the Broadway musical The Pajama Game and directing the drama team’s production of Anything Goes. His multifaceted contributions have made him a central figure in nurturing Salida’s school musical and theatrical culture.
